A mean poem
by me


sitting there
empty
its only purpose
was to mean
not be
to ring truth
from nothing
stealthily

a stab to the eye
when no one was looking
the fat plump poem
looked innocuous enough
to be considered
innocent

and so was acquitted
of any wrong doing
mercifully
free
to strike again
no one could now be certain
of their safety

the moral?
never trust a poem

you don't know
what they're capable of
