Does anybody know anything about the lady who supposedly sued NASA in response to the crazy comet-crashing project because she said that it fucked up her astrological alignment or something?
That's audacious.

I saw her interviewed on the news a few days ago. I agree with her. What a fucking way to spend 300 million dollars! Like throwing confetti into space if you ask me, and it does fuck up the cosmos, but hell, we gotta fuck over mother earth, and when she's all used up we'll take over space! We will capture infinity by God! God chose us to right?
More power to her I say. I felt it bump my right planets to the left a little more, thass fo sure! I keep my doors open, I swing wide on corners.....
She's got guts and I admire that.
At least it's something to think about! Besides the continual pillaging we think we are so entitled to do.....
Hester on de edge!
Swayin and spillin!
heh

I'll play the devil's advocate and be in NASA's favour.
I truly don't have anything against NASA's project. Let them play toy cars with planets.
As for the astrology thing, how can we be sure if planet positions influence our lives, and that it really doesn't work the other way around?
Because if it does, what's the point in being mad at NASA?
NASA's only shaping space according to what we decided.
And I'm probably not one to talk, but that woman doesn't seem to know a lot about astrology.

stilltruckin raises an important point. it is conceivable that a comet or asteroid will be on a path to hit Earth someday, and it may be possible for it to be deflected through some advanced rocket mission. therefore, it is more than just a game. of course, we will probably destroy the Earth with more terrestrial games like wars between terrorists (state and nonstate terror) or climate change, or genetically mutated supergerms or whatever. but imagine if one of these comet-smacking missions goes awry and NASA has to say, "well, we totally miscalcultated that one and it turns out, we moved that comet into a path that will strike the moon. Whoops! Guess we didn't read the horoscope properly, or something."
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.
