Every cycle, the Winter Solstice is the celebration that captures my heart and soul the most.

I was thinking it would be neat to celebrate our beloved winter solstice via words and images on internet pages, together, right here, in the mystic arts studio.
I invite you all to bring something "solstice" to this thread.
I'll start with this link I found that gives a pretty good description of what solstice is...or at least I think it does.
Here's to the light coming back!
I'm so excited!

Greetings jimboloco,

Welcome to your Solstice edition of On the Way. This month we pick
up the Bloodstream Sermon and continue with some of the earliest
writing found in Zen. If you want to see the first excerpt, it was
started in 2001 Issue 24 and can be found in the archives.

Bodhidharma brought Zen to China from India, and is again bringing
it alive for us today. Join me in delving into the mysteries again
here:

Both the Solstice and arrival of the New Year remind us of the passage
of time. May our steps on the Earth get lighter in the years to come
as we witness the effects of our passage to date.

Why wait for realizations when we can live now in an organic sense
of oneness? May your resolutions this year contain the actions of that
life you've always wanted to live!

Your Friend along the Way,

Elana
