zazen

Post by Traveller13 » May 28th, 2006, 5:04 am

I'm looking for a way to time myself while doing zazen.
For example, I'd like to do 30 minutes before going to work, and find a way to provoke a signal telling me that 30 minutes have passed.

I've thought of an alarm clock, but I'd prefer something else.

Any suggestions?

when I listened to your links I realised that I could've made mine all along
even better, that I'd started to make one without realising it

thanks for pointing it out, weirdly-mixing-vowels-and-syllables-person.

Sorry about the miss-spells, oopz!

I am doing a zen retreat this week at the Clearwater Zendo.
opening ceremony Wed eve, then will return for 5 am brisk walking and the start out the day will stay overnight Thurs nite and all thru Friday into the eve.

This is my second retreat since resuming them, last one in the spring.
Retreats are powerful. What can I say? Will report back on Saturday.
Ah maybe I will check in after the opening ceremony, tell ya'll a bit about it.

Lonesome traveler, is there a zen or other meditation grouop near you? If you need a connection, easy to find.

Art feller I can see the yellow buddha in my mind's eye.

Actually, it was a compliment (I enjoy your miss-spells)

I just found one on internet. I'll call them when I'm not wobbling from one location to another.
