Writer's block - when the flow becomes dammed... the candle burns low... desire is satiated... Where do you go from nowhere? There doesn't seem to be any one thing to grasp onto to lift your spirit from the quicksand of zero - that place of no thing, the barren choking land, the bleak dusk that you just know will eventually consume you - body and soul. Or so it appears at the time...
Accept the message that is being relayed: all life gives motion a rest. The animal world, the insect world, the plant world... even the molecular reaches its period of rest... the end of 'that' assemblage, that molecular structure sooner or later, reaches the end of another unique form of life. It's only the atoms that continue without rest, without observation, as does the universe.
Its energy spent, its form becomes flaccid and lifeless. The molecules are abandoning ship, dissolving into other shapes, other forms, to continue existence endlessly. This cycle is the wonder of life, not death. To realize the perpetual is to know your Self.
Self is talked about as the spiritual, the mystical state (so called because it is without description, beyond reality), the Yahweh (that which cannot be spoken), nirvana, heaven... all these words trying to communicate this state of mind achieved thru various paths. They all lead to the same place - Pure Consciousness, the complete elephant.
"But so what? So you experienced another revelation. Big fucking deal! I don't understand why someone would give up damn near everything in their lives to 'try' to achieve something like that? I see a bunch of undernourished beggars on the street that proclaim to have achieved 'full realization.' If that's the reward, I think I'll pass..." Ever hear that point of view? I've heard it...straight from my own heart.
There was an yogi that went by the name of Yogananda. I checked out a book of his to write a college report on yoga too many years ago. This particular book told of his life, his path, his words, poems, thoughts... and yes, the book spoke of yoga. Yogananda spoke of those that search for "god". He said most go mad.
The beggar on the streets, pale and weak, hungry for anything to eat, holds out his bowl. There in the sunken flesh of his dirty face his eyes catch you. You can't help but look...look deeply into the deep eyes and see a spark, a signal to enter - the Mystic Zone. Beware if you choose the path of rejection, you will fail.
Rejection is a non-acceptance of your desire. Rejection is a deliberate act to avoid. There is nothing to be avoided when you are in the now, the flow. Take the journey and do not attach to any thing. The Tao is the energy that flows without thought, runs freely without doubt, massages with its currents the struggle, the tension of decisions, decisions, so many fucking decisions. Meditation is the 'soul rub' that relaxes your ego... removes its hold on your being, setting you free from all the bullshit that surrounds you. Meditation is uniting with the Tao.
Empty your mind, not your senses. Enjoy not the effort of your ego to dominate, but enjoy the wonder of being. And when you accept this within yourself, your blockages will dissolve, your flow will return. And from the energy of this flow, your creative spirit will again glow brightly. The shadows will dispel themselves, and your new day will again be filled with your own radiance dawning on your next journal page. Your next blank canvas will open itself up to whatever you have to express. Your own potentiality will once again be revealed.

we are a configuration
of the planetary reality
spinning our own
constellation of being
blending into the
eternity of perpetuality
our very essence
blends into the cosmos
a universe unchallenged in
its vastnesss
its infinite fires
its beauty
the threads of mystery
suspend us over
the chasm of the void
baiting us with release
when does freedom -
the liberation of the soul
become the most valuable
treasure to awaken to
?
