truck : "Passed through El Paso a hundred times or more never saw that statue"

The statue is relatively new in the city. Our city itelligentia could not agree to where the this largest statue in the world would go... that and the b.s. about the nastiness of Onate, which you can read on this thread with Dave the Dove. It took Houser years to complete this, as you can well imagine... most of the work (if not all the casting and bronze work) was done in Mexico.

"This is one of my favorite streams Cecil. And I have never read not even one that I did not like."

I appreciate that, amigo. It puzzles me, but that's good, too. I really wasn't so sure where this Stream was going... I was interrupted by a long distance phone call during the streaming, but it was an old friend and I chatted away for quite some time before returning to it. That's why I ended it the way I did.

O, okay. You meant the word, 'talking' but wrote the word 'taking' and that got me off track.

What do you think of the Crazy Horse statue being carved out of a mountain in Black Hills, SD ? When finished it'll be bigger than all Amerindian statues combined. (God, that's BIG!) You should send them some donations to keep it going... an expensive proposition, but worthy, don't you think?

I like that and I heard about way back then. It has more of a message then that other one down in Texas.

Crazy Horse or Don Juan de Onate ... neither are real. There both just titles of art works and the horse was changed, like anyone might change their name. what's real is the substance not the intent... like Magritte's 'This is not a pipe' painting...

Crazy Horse has more of a message because it's real. Magritte's painting was a "pipe dream".
