How can there be Peace when we live with Fear?

We acknowledge and accept Fear as a way of life. We guard against any invasion of our spaces. We make the security business a thriving economic success. We make arms manufacturers wealthy beyond belief. Our government is a business of security - armies, missiles, tanks, aircraft, ships... all the tools of war.

We are at war with Fear. The larger our weapon the more we have to fear. What if we have to use the damn thing? We might hurt innocent people.... but does it matter? I mean, if we kill the fear and innocents are taken with it, maybe 'they' were just in the wrong place an the wrong time...

Such foolishness perpetrated upon the peoples of the earth! The world’s politicians have found the key to manipulating its citizenry: 'keep them in fear - keep us in office'.

The media certainly does not assist in alleviating our fears. The media makes its best money during fearful times... the ratings soar. The advertising doubles... triples.... the money flows. The money flows all across the defense boards, and the politicians become more powerful and needed...a necessary evil.

Why doesn't Peace sell? Anything that is made with a peaceful purpose, for a peaceful purpose is somehow seen as a threat to the Corporation. We can't threaten the Corporation! The politicians have a vested interest in them...

The greatest enemy to Peace is the Corporation mindset. They need to move product to keep the people employed, so the government can tax them and purchase more arms for 'their' security... a perfect little cycle for those that know the secret to tap into more wealth than the citizens will ever have.

Prolonged Peace is an economic standstill.

[Why do we submit to this weakness disguised in Fear? What are the roots of Fear? Where does it originate within us?]

At the moment of our birth our lifeline is severed and we scream. We require assistance in getting fed, getting warm, we require security in order to survive. From that moment on we seek more and more security. We accept our nourishments, we accept our parent(s) to provide our basics, we accept our surroundings, identifying with the things around us to give us a sense of security. That security alleviates the fear.. . fear of hunger, fear of loneliness, fear of what may happen to us 'without' . It is not simply a human need but a necessity for all living things on some level or another - to survive or perish. It's in our codes to maintain living until we can do it no more.

Our survival as humans has led us on extreme paths... evolutionary, it may be argued, but where mankind was, say 1,000 yrs ago compared to where we are today, is a long journey of survival. It is not only our basics that we need - food, water, shelter, heat, even (some) other people... but we are also reliant upon our technologies, our information systems, our transportation systems... and certainly the energy to continue upon the progress of our humanity.

Despite the efforts of religions and governments, humanity is no different from life... we, like all living things must simply continue moving forward on our daily schedule of survival. To try and stay within our perimeters of safety and security can bring a sense of fear to us. Just as our security gives us a sense of comfort, so does the threat of losing that security bring us a sense of fear. Governments have an obligation to it's citizens to provide security of home, either local, state or national. Religions have an obligation to the people to provide a sense of security to the social and spiritual side of humanity.

But governments and religions, being human institutions, must also evolve with the flow of humanities growth... not an easy thing for governments or religions to do until those that are in charge understand the need for change from the populace that they are providing for. The irony of the politician of priest is that they themselves are quite secure in their jobs. They do not want to have their jobs, their life work to become insecure... that might call for them to change, and not comfortably... a sense of fear can cause the politician to call in the troops... military force to prevent change. The priest may evoke the wrath of their god to instill fear within their congregation by using their books and teachings prevent the flow of change.

But change is ceaseless. Fear and insecurity are also ceaseless, as is love and peacefulness. The different qualities and frames of mind that we live with and through are ceaseless. We journey through all our emotions, our ideas, our wants and needs, our fears and insecurities... that is the journey of survival that we have been given to live through, and journey we will until we pass from our bodies on yet a continuing journey that we cannot yet imagine.

We all do the best we can no matter who or what we are. We can only use what has been given to us to survive our own journey. Six plus billion people aboard the spaceship earth circling our one Sun as if our life depended upon it, and so it does...

yes
fear

fear of loss

fear of losing home, food, shelter, job, life, love, power, control, future...

it's all about loss
it's all about fear
fear of loss

and this fear is rooted deeply
so deeply inside ourselves
born from the delusive perception
of a duality between ourselves and
the surrounding world

we feel separated
and we feel lost

and we yearn for a life
without fear
where we and
what we love does not
disappear or fade or die

we need to feel that we exist
by feeling strong
by feeling healthy
by feeling loved
by feeling accepted
by feeling connected
by feeling alive

we need to feel that we're safe
and we try to feel safe by saving food, space, stories
by claiming a piece of earth, a hunting ground,
an idea, a religion, a truth our own

because we hope this might save us
save us from fear
save us from loss

because we hope this
might cover the cracks
of separation
the cracks
of fear
the cracks of loss
and death

so we won't fall

fear and measure?
a state, a corporation, a group, a person can help to increase the amount of fear in others, this is dangerous if it´s not detected.
fear and detectives?
then you have the risk to be too rational or too irrational and a bit paranoic.
