The stream runs softly today. It's sound barely perceptible... a trickle penetrating the silence like a cloud... drifting, effortlessly drifting, along a path carved by earlier flows once noisy and needy in seeking the lowest spot... as water must do.

The valleys are quiet today. Even the birds are in deep mediation, only the young begging for their next meal. There is nothing to see. There is nothing to catch. No thing has a need. Satiated I bask in this nothingness and flow... I know this no thing like a lover seduced by the sheer joy of loving. Today fulfills bringing great contentment as it should but somehow is never always here. Life gives what is received.
