Odd what pops up on a site where you'd least expect it...
Ever wonder how much space cyber-space takes to keep all the information that is available worldwide? I don't have a clue. I doubt many do... much less think about something like that. I mean, what difference would it make if I did know? If you knew the answer to that would your life be any less confused... would you sleep better at night?
It's the little things, like bricks, that stack up into bigger things. It's all in the mortar to keep it going. The glue to keep 'it' together.
The universe is together, despite the idea that it's expanding, expanding, expanding... there may come a moment when it'll get so thin, so separated, that every thing will drift off from all else, gravity be damned.
"Life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it." - Irving Berlin
Perception is like our fingerprint... everyone's got a different slant on life. It's logical. We're all in different places from each other. Nobody occupies the same space as you. So even though the space between you and me may be only incremental, they alter my perception from your perception. Add to the perception thing the environments we live within, the culture we share, the language we speak, the weather we have.. these things are different everywhere... so goes our perceptions - they are all over as far as humanity is concerned. It's all how we take it... yours and his and ours and theirs and everyone else's perceptions. It's actually quite amazing that we do live together as well as we do.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. " - Albert Einstein
Mediocrity is problematic only to those whose mediocrity does not apply. But that violent opposition..? The annoying screams of a child who has crapped in their diaper is more tolerable only because the diaper can be quickly changed. But the violent opposition needs a change of mind which is a slow and tedious process that involves the slow ticking of time. This is where patience becomes virtuous. When patience becomes a nuisance, patience is lost.
