Sunday Stream (229) ~ Nine Steps Beyond Belief

Post by mtmynd » January 3rd, 2010, 11:34 am

Nine Steps Beyond Belief

Moses!
Jesus!
Mohammad!

look! see what
you've wrought
upon our world

your words
captured
chained to books
unalterable
unattainable

these books
have become
mere tombs
to protect
those wisps
of cognizance
that passed
so freely

sometimes
misunderstood
misinterpreted
disbelieved
mistaken

confusion abounding
your frozen ideas
were not allowed
to develop
to grow
to gain their fullness

(their wholeness denied

captured in write
like butterflies
mounted upon
a collectors desk
to be viewed
reviewed
talked about
word by word
phrase by phrase
missing

(always missing)

the fact of thought
the river that runs
.......eternally

change is the constant
and never stopping
only a pause
an ease
at ease

(if you please)

the prophets
spoke thru hearts
always beating
beat....beat....beat
the message
...impulses
translations limited
language a barrier

(describe your orgasm!)

the mountain
stands high
surrendered
to its fate
but quakes
lessen strength
with the wind
the mind does go

flow....you'll know....
flow....you'll know....

bip! lights on!
we are so much
so much more than
those laboratory
definitions of
factual's actuals
squeezing out life
and putting it on
display to
pray to
worship
faith-fondle
with our timidity

prophets!
you weren't given
your wholeness
your wholly-ness
your bliss
in your words...
you have transcended
the mundane of scripture
and rose high
the experience
the light

the joke's on us
they're killing us
the joke's on us
they're killing us

Moses!
Jesus!
Mohammed!

look! see what
you've wrought
upon our world
I get sick of it
sick of it

talk about leaving a mark on the world
for better or worse.

thanks for the stream
And picture
thank you very much

Thinking about orgasms
The Orgasmic Mind Scientific American
Achieving sexual climax requires a complex conspiracy of sensory and psychological signals—and the eventual silencing of critical brain areas
It takes an orgasm to shut up those critical brain areas

Just picking at it
this was good stream Cecil
really good
about killing the spirit with the word
I suppose it
happens all the time

Moses, Jesus
Mohammed,
tomato, to-mah-to
potato, pot-tah-to..

let's call the whole thing off!
.
.
.
.
(your "nine-step program," Cecil?)

Thank you, JT... glad you enjoyed this one. When I wrote it I, too, was sick of it... freezing moments in time and creating belief systems... religions on the moments that once were and now have passed... fleeting moments engraved in memories that miss the now.

mnaz! indeed, begin again with a new canvas, a new message, a new way of seeing what was seen 2,000 + years ago which looks worn and cracked, complexion poor, eyes that no longer sparkle...

Thanks!

Definitely a good one, Cecil. :)

Thank you much, N(icely)S(aid)... I do appreciate that.

Honest quote by Swift.

Religion serves well the believers and serves hell to those that don't.
