Sunday Stream (254) ~ turn it into a masterpiece

Post by mtmynd » September 25th, 2010, 11:30 pm

excess is simply too damn much, you know?
it's just overdone... way over done
it's drowning in your own wants...
excess - way more than you need
you can't put it any place else
there's no more room any where
for just one more thing that needs
space just to exist but THIS is too much

is there no more room for silence in your life?
do you fear that aloneness that erupts like
a volcano within as the lava seeps silently
like a mute sloth easing up the cracked bark
of a tree that has to be 372 years old and
has never heard a song that triggers sorrow?

have your eyes grown tired of seeing across
the divides created by the separation of pain
from love that seems never to grow wild with joy
as you crawl off into the darkness of a shaded
room to close your eyes only to see that endless
nothingness that rolls forever into an abyss with
no end in sight as your tears drip one by one
onto the pillow that has had no sleep and no cover
since 1952 when something happened in Rome
but was never recorded due to uninterest
to anyone but those two people holding hands
by a nameless river reflecting a new moon?

do questions pop into your head from nowhere without
any reason or logic but demand some answers regardless
of need or desire but continues rubbing your goddamn mind
as you feel the pain of neglect surrounding your very being
and strangers abound like little irritating insects that crawled
out of the dark shadows of the mind where the light never shines?

please don't answer any of these questions even if they
are backed up by the finest mariachi bands of mexico and
there is a full bottle of blue agave tequila sitting on your chest
as you lie in a field of alfalfa and 28 butterflies circle your head
that leaves you smiling at the sun that is directly overhead

hold that pose and turn it into a masterpiece that makes you laugh

it can't hurt. it won't hurt. it never did hurt.
but that mind keeps reminding you of pain
that insists on hurting you but you don't give in.
masterpieces are made by the insistence of being

yeah, the famous "malbec" I guess here possible because a good adoption at nearly 33º latitude..!!!!!!! I love malbec wine specially joining a good asado outdoors with family and/or friends!!!!!!! But I also like most of the red wines around here -not very selective, I guess!-: cabernet-sauvignons, syrahs, tempranillos... and also white torrontés form Cafayate at almost freezing temperatures and also some chardonnays... "good for your soul", sweet definition Cecil!. Enjoy as you can!!!! :)

Constantly arising and falling...powerful meditation Cecil. The photo gives me cause to reflect on my own vision of the land....When I paint the land I become mesmerized by what's at my feet and not the horizon....
