Sunday Stream (48) ~ IT

___

Make something

out of

IT

and what do you have

that wasn't

IT

to begin with?

___</center>

Third hurricane. More die in Iraq. Poverty. Extreme wealth. Changes, changes, changes. What is IT?

IT begins with a focus upon whatever IT is to begin with and then IT changes, evolving into another IT. IT Is Temporal. No stopping IT. IT is everywhere and everything. IT is both illusive and in your face. IT is the cause and IT is the effect.

Without IT what are you? Without IT what is anything? IT is nothing without IT. IT is the beginning of the start. IT is the end of the focus. IT is not for the faint-of-heart for IT encompasses all that IT is and will be. IT is.

IT is wonderous and cruel. IT is all that IT can be, will be, should be, could be, maybe... IT is always here. IT is always there. IT confuses. IT amazes. IT is crystal clear. IT behaves as IT should. IT is our why's, our what's, our who's, our dreams, our nightmares, our destinies. IT is.

We give IT many names. We label IT with other sounds, other feelings, other meanings... but IT is all there is. IT is.

IT is greater than any god that we presume. IT is god. IT is the devil. IT is indescrible. IT is without limits. IT is all things and yet no things. IT is.

IT is maleable. IT is static. IT is whatever we want IT to be. IT is me. IT is you. IT is us. IT is IT. There is nothing without IT. IT is mysterious. IT is love. IT is neglect. IT is compassion. IT is hatred. IT is.

All things begin with IT. The fertilized egg is IT. The fertilizer is IT. The womb is IT. The birth is IT. The life is IT. The food is IT. The shelter is IT. The hunger is IT. The crying is IT. The growth is IT. The attraction is IT. The love is IT. The cycle of life is IT. IT is.

We may deny IT but we can't ignore IT. IT is.

IT Is Temporal. IT assumes all disguises. IT does not do but is. IT exists and has always existed. IT is eternal. IT is temporal. IT is duality. IT is yin/yang. IT is monotheistic. IT is atheistic. IT is agnostic. IT owes us nothing. IT is up to us to make IT into that which makes us what IT is that we think IT should be. We would not be without IT. IT will be the death of us. IT is not what we want IT to be. IT is everything we want IT to be. IT is.

IT is science. IT knows the answers. IT knows the causes. IT has the reasons. Without IT we are stupid. IT is stupid. IT is nuts. IT is insanity. IT is confessional. IT is the peace. IT brings us bliss. IT behaves as IT should when IT should, how IT should, why IT should. IT should or IT shouldn't. IT is.

IT is sickness. IT is dis-ease. IT heals ITself. IT kills ITself. IT is bi-polar. IT is uni-polar. IT is polar. IT is directional. IT is multi-talented. IT is failure. IT is success. We rely on IT. IT is.

I get tired of IT. I want to get away from IT, but IT is always there. No getting away from IT - IT has to be there. IT is IT's job. IT has to be IT. IT is.

IT is nature. IT is the trees. It is all flora and fauna. IT is the great oceans, the small streams, the waterfalls, the floods. IT is the rain, the snow, the winds, the Sun, the moon, the planets that are in the solar system. IT is the constellations. IT is the full and unknown universe. IT suspends the entire universe - giving IT something to spin within IT. IT is.

IT Is Temporal... tempus fugit - fly with IT.

The Id (Latin, "it" in English, "Es" in the original German) represented primary process thinking — our most primitive need gratification type thoughts. The Id, Freud stated, constitutes part of one's unconscious mind. It is organized around primitive instinctual urges of sexuality, aggression and the desire for instant gratification or release. Freud borrowed the term Id from the "Book of the Id" by Georg Groddeck, a pathfinder of psychosomatic.

I hold the view that man is animated by the Unknown, that there is within him an "Es," an "It," some wondrous force which directs both what he himself does, and what happens to him. The affirmation "I live" is only conditionally correct, it espresses only a small and superficial part of the fundamental principle, "Man is lived by the It."

Bad translations from the German, Id is It.

SooZen and I had a discussion about Osho, I was concerned about what happened when he and his disciples took over the town of Antelope Oregon. The murder plots, the plan to spray Salmonella bacteria on salad bars. She said you can’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Same could be said of Jesus I think.. All the bloodshed done in his name. Same for Freud, all the cruelty and insanity done in his name.

Thanks Cecil. Eloquent and helpful post for me. Twenty five years of trying to hide from it coming to an end. I can run from it, but I can't hide it.

I wish you both many happy returns of this day and everyday

truck - thank you for your reply. 'IT' is what i was going for on this stream and it appears you quickly grasped that. and your link to Freud... i will get back to that... he was an early 'hero' (so to speak) of mine when i was around 17 yrs old. i read his complete works and even though (admittedly) there certainly was some that i did not understand, i was mostly taken by his discovery of our levels of mind and how our early beginnings (childhood) so imprint us and those imprints we carry with us thru our lives... something i see far eastern philosophies have understood for milleniums. Freud, for me, was the beginning of my inner search and i will always have a thankful heart for that. you are so correct in your words on people like Osho (another man that i have admired for years), Jesus (another enlightened human being), and, of course, Siggy.... amongst others.

I've been waiting for years to find out where It's at.

Now I know.

Thanks, Cecil!

All I know is this.
Whatever it is, it is.
Whatever it will be, it will be.
See?
Dig it, love it, do it, be part of it.
You can abhor it but you can't ignore it.
That's the very heart of it.
Once you find it, you must mind it!
You can never be blind to it.
To wit, that's it!

I mean, like IT must be getting to me, but some of IT is way beyond me... one time i feel like i get IT and others, well.. i just don't get IT at all. but i guess that IT's the whole bag, isn't IT? IT seems to me that IT is, because without IT what is there?

yes it is all shit, as in shtty diapers
when we come out of the womb
into this world of shit
we are all IT
Nothing but IT
A baby comes into the world as IT
That brain is as empty as IT will ever be
THen it is all down hill
We learn language
We learn to lie
But we were made flesh for that word

nice picture
all i got is these shitty words
and you know it takes about a million of them to paint a picture
we are born between piss and shit.
we were concieved in darkness
we were swimmers
water creatures
for the first nine months
then we became air breathers
and liars.
with a memory
a dark sea that still exists
within us
