All poets 'cept Rimbaud and Bukowski (talkin' Modern times here) have been sissies.

Can't deal with life so they right silly lil lines. Long live the Age of the Assassin.

Poet I am not, but I don't think that's so correct, depending on your def. of sissy. What about Yeats? Or Pound? Frost? Not so sssissy. The beatlskis did that, really. .

Yeats was pussy whipp'd. Pound was a fascist an we all know fascists are repression-sissy reactionists. the Beats were of course sissies.

Case proven.

Pound was a writer, linguist, amateur scientist, chess enthusiast, composer, lover of women: "fascist" hardly does him justice, regardless of his few years of phunn with Il Duce. Yeats perhaps not as brilliant, but "Sissy" does both of them an injustice---indeed a rather philistinish sort of injustice.

Those who "character profile" writers usually miss the point (except with beatniks--they should be (and often were) profiled as "psychotic" or "paranoid schizophrenic," etc.).
