after decades of approximately paperback book sized format, the TV GUIDE, that venerable print-periodical conduit for the televisual mainstream, has transformed into a magazine size format.

a major morphing indeed.

not surprisingly, all the (once-) celebrities interviewed about the change, as featured on the TV Guide channel, offered sanguine opinions about the switch.

however, all those who bought (or made?) television accessory caddies with appointed slots for remotes and TV Guides, will be quite disappointed if not irrate.

what is the real reason for the shift?

i suspect that it is, after all, a matter of advertising space. perhaps it was thought that advertisers would prefer a bigger brighter eyecatching page size on which to inscribe their social-conditioning 'messages' there.

This seems to be a very accurate analysis, e-dog.
