I just re-read chapter one and now chapter two.
The descriptive ability you project is quite qlear. I can visualise everything.

You know my first response a couple weeks ago, I was drunk and stoned....and tried to be spontaneously expressive in a non-structured way, free flow stream of consciousness and I guess I ldleft a confuzed impression.

Today I am drinking coffee, hear the wind blowing thru open windows, temp about 50 degreez. New age music. Stoned.
I see a depth here. The initial shock of the beating really braced me the first time.
