Aida!

Post by izeveryboyin » November 22nd, 2004, 2:35 pm

My first opera experience happned to me when I was 16. My mother took me to the Lyric Opera House to see the beautiful performance, with it's awesome scenery and magnificent voices. IT recently returned to Chicago, and upon seeing it for the second time, it brought back memories of youth and happiness, and all of the intensity a truly great piece embodies and pushes out to it's audience. I left the theatre inspired, singing, and painting beautiful pictures. Anybody care for a round?

i went to the odessa opera house in 1997 during a conference there...saw barber of seville in russian...didn't understand much, but was moved to tears...the artists performed virtually for free...cost me the equivalent of two bucks...they were simply trying to maintain the arts

My mom paid 222 bucks for two tickets... a price I'd never be able to afford. It was beautiful, and sung in Italian, but there were subtitles on a huge screen uptop the stage. lol.
