Ain’t it a Shame

Post by Michael » December 29th, 2004, 9:24 pm

No longer available for listening.

Think about the starving people.
Ain’t it a shame?
Think about the hungry children.
Ain’t it a shame?
When will people start to care
that there are other people there?
I hope it’s before it’s too late.

Think about the burning bodies.
Ain’t it a shame?
Too young to be dying bodies.
Ain’t it a shame?
When will people start to learn
that bodies weren’t made to be burned?
I hope it’s before it’s too late.

Get together brothers, sisters,
look to the sky.
Let’s stop asking foolish questions.
Stop asking, “Why?”

We know that it’s wrong
and not the way it should be.
Got to start demanding them,
start making them see.

Think about the ruined air, now.
Ain’t it a shame?
Think about the ruined waters.
Ain’t it a shame?
When will people come to know
when earth is gone, nowhere to go?
I hope it’s before it’s too late.

Get together brothers, sisters,
look to the sky.
Let’s stop asking foolish questions.
Stop asking, “Why?”

We know that it’s wrong
and not the way it should be.
Got to start demanding them,
start making them see.

Think about the ruined air, now.
Ain’t it a shame?
Think about the ruined waters.
Ain’t it a shame?
When will people come to know
when earth is gone, nowhere to go?
I hope it’s before it’s too late.

Becomes a song to remember, Michael.
The words are easily stolen as my own
but that tune is surprisingly catchy.

Hope the message catches on

I did not steal those words from you - - - did I? I didn’t think so.

Thanks for listening, commenting and just being a very peaceful human being, j.

just a ramble don't mean nothing

looking to the sky?
I look to the hills
To the mountains
look to the skies sounds like a government gazillion dollar project to boldly go where no boldly have gone.
too many people looking to the sky for black helicopters
conspiracy nuts who want to get US out of UN
oh michael it is a shame,
I do look to the skies,
clouds moon sun stars rain snow hail, the sky above keeps me steady, my castles in the air on solid rock.

I heard a bit on NPR about a society formed to promote looking up, how many people never even look at the sky,
