I’m Leaving You

Post by Michael » February 7th, 2005, 3:04 am

No longer available for listening.

Did anything we said last night
make any sense at all?
You said that you wanted me to stay.

It was crazy thinking that what
was there would last,
when I knew that I would go away.

This is just the thing I’ve done
to every single woman
I’ve held or ever made love to.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
So close your eyes, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

Sure we both were laughing and
the time we had was good,
but all good times must come to an end.

You will find yourself another
man another time
and maybe next time you will find a friend.

This is just the thing I’ve done
to every single woman
I’ve held or ever made love to.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
So turn your head, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

This is just the thing I’ve done
to every single woman
I’ve held or ever made love to.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
So turn your head, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

I’ve done this so many times,
too many times to know,
but I know I’ll do it all again.

I don’t know why I can’t stay
a part of someone else,
I guess it’s just the way it’s always been.

This is just the thing I’ve done
to every single woman
I’ve held or ever made love to.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
Forget last night, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

This is just the thing I’ve done
to every single woman
I’ve held or ever made love to.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
So turn your head, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

And I can see no reason why
I shouldn’t say good-bye.
So close your eyes, now that it’s light, I’m leaving you.

Shuffling through at least a hundred CD’s for the two or three that are music, looking for gregg Tilles, he rarely used to sing when he was a kid, so shy. This one he sings and the band rocks, got a hillbilly California sound, but man it rocks, then I started thinking about his father, and song called
Mello mourning
It has line
You turned my mellow morning into empty night.
Then I thought of Hank
And if I didn't go, I believe I'd blow my stack
I love you ba-aby, but you gotta understand
When the lord made me, he made a ramblin' man.

I wonder how the music sounds, I should make a disclaimer about music, good noise for me, something wrong with my brain. I can only hear it when I hear it. Sometimes I can play a melody on Husserl’s boombox, but I am not quite hearing the music, more like a mood

Nice song, anyplace to hear it I will send you a quater

stilltrucking, thanks for reading and commenting. And thanks for even including some of the heavies you included in your response. I’m blushing.

You can’t download the song? Your computer doesn’t do music?

I’ve completed one CD, although this song isn’t on it. I’d be glad to send you a copy and I won’t even charge a quarter, at least not yet – not enough demand.

This is on a second CD that I’ve entitled “Left Where I Write On”. I have eight songs on that CD that add up 32:39. As soon as I hit the 40 minute mark, I’ll call it good and start working on a third.

If I haven’t become uncontrollably famous by then, and it’s a very good chance that I won’t, I’ll send you the second CD as well.

I do much of this for fun, although I think I have stuff to say and it’s a good outlet for me on a personal level.

Again, thanks for taking the time.
