she's quick

Post by Lightning Rod » December 15th, 2005, 12:16 pm

I can't stand whiners, cowards and complainers

and what makes me even sicker is when people use the internet to do their personal psychotherapy

Doreen has adopted a little pet on another site (which will remain unnamed)

This idiot has been moaning in public for months about his failed marriage

It's not hard to understand why his wife left him, he's a fucking cry-baby

Doreen is the mother of all children, so she indulges this drivel

but it makes me sick

I can understand wallowing in self pity for about fifteen minutes

but after that it gets extremely boring.

where doreen is inclined to say, "I feel your pain, I'm so sorry....blah, blah, blah

I'm more likely to advise, "Get a life, you pathetic pussy."

And as if it's not bad enough that this wimp is putting himself through this melodramatic bullshit,

he also foists it upon his unsuspecting internet enablers

sure, you can cry on my shoulder, but after a while, when my shirt is soaking wet,

I gotta say, "Enough, already."

What do you think about people who air their personal problems on the internet?

Exactly.

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

Ugh. I'm not too hip on it.

Catch twenty two the novel, the bomber pilot who was cultivating boredom. Sometimes I feel like that.

Do you think Hunter S Thompson was feeling bored that night?

I got a sybling who is a MD, he tells me I have a sick sense of humor.

Aw hell. Maybe I'll leave it here for a while.

Or maybe I'll move it to "Ask the Biotch" where it belongs.

the net is a wide-open community. Today you listen to me bitch and whine, and tomorrow, i'll be listening to someone else. It's a big circle - we listen, we talk, we delete, we recover.

If i listen, it's cause i choose to. It's a choice.
That's what's nice about personal problem airing. On the net, you can read the gripe in your own time, when you've got the ear.

In life, you can't choose the when. Sometimes your ear is needed right now.

the only (edit:insert "not") nice thing is having the net connection die in the middle of an IM conversation, and such a disaster can be misread as not caring.

That's a drag.

sean, the monkeys know better
in baboon society, if a male begins exhibiting signs of insecurity
the whole troop starts beating up on him
pretty soon he becomes an outcast, relegated to the fringes of society
he doesn't get groomed by his peers (stroked)
it's a downward cycle--they die young
so, if you are going to be a baboon
you must have confidence

doreen, I'm not going to address your comments because I'm already in the doghouse with you over this topic

Of course you are right judih, a matter of choice. It's just that I don't have the ear to hear someone go on and on.

Lightning Rod -

Looks like firsty is the firsty monkey in the baboon society to help proove your point.

If you don't have the ear to hear someone, then don't listen. It's that simple.

If I want to listen and offer empathy or perhaps some sound advice, then that's my choice, as judih said.

Wonder what the Biotch is gonna tell ya.

l-rod... we are all the time airing? our personal problems everywhere... even though when we don´t realize about it...
I agree with judih about the difference between internet and the life without internet, the unplugged stuff is more difficult in the last one.

"sure, you can cry on my shoulder, but after a while, when my shirt is soaking wet,

I gotta say, "Enough, already.": I can´t avoid not to relate to this. Sometimes IS enough.

And I also notice that when men complain really can score doing it.

let it be & let it bleed,

I cut married men a lot of slack, except for the ones who tell me a bullet is cheaper than a divorce. We come in empty handed and then we hold hands, then we let go.

Wedding cakes with a solipsized groom, a solipsized bride

Listening to the complaints about their wives on the CB radio, she got the gold mine he got the shaft, she got the house, the kids, the truck, and if he gets married and has more kids she gets them too.

Then on the other hand there are these women who are building a fleet of trucks one marriage at a time. Next time he said he won't marry again. Just going to find a woman who don't like him and buy her a truck.

I do my crying in public, more productive that way.
it's a downward cycle--they die young
too old to die young, I must be closer to the Apes than the monkeys
Orangutans are solitary creatures.
Men who complain about women score? I suppose you could look at it that way. Yes I suppose so, If notning else works try pity.
