there once was a man from nantucket
who thought about saying "chuck it!"
he turned his big frown all the way upsidedown
and smiled his way down to pawtucket

love and peace
not a dream
breathing bell
We can all grieve together
and affirm
the love that will go on
through others
as we become
the ancestors,
waiting to be healed.

I wanted to say goodbye
I saw him from the hallway
He was going home at last with hospice, to stay
at last, defeated by the malignant melanoma,
large white rectangular scoops, in white,
on his head, bald as well, a cubist Buddha,
mas para venir.....tengo que fumar mota loco con mi sobrino.
un sabado facil.
iIwent in about 4 pm, said general greetings,
like, "hope you' re gonna do well at home," he smiled and nodded, it was cool, next scene later on, him surrounded by family, a tall young kid looks like him, long brown hair,
The guy spent a year at DaNang, got sprayed, hey not directly, but the so-called "ranch hands" c-132 cargo planes fitted with these spraying apparatus, wow, the spray drifted on the winds, hovered over vast empty spaces, softly raining down ...
Told him stuff, too, general bullshit, he was a lifer, 9 years enlisted, then got commissioned, had to get a bachelopr's degree,, cool, retyired as a major after 23 years. he's registered with the agent orange survey, but no matter, too late for him, unnless therer are some survivors' bennies.
orgullo=proud
the war drags on
recurring in his dreams
great orange mushroom cloud
nightmared dreaming bleeding men
lookouts tremmbing at the shore
no man can find the war
