Jack...I feel the same way about the beach and the ocean.

seagulls
across the Rio Grande
illegal aliens?

We have lots of beach in Phar Lepht...someday we may have the ocean, who knows.

Okay Jack...can we stick to the birds? Hah!

bird nest
outside the window
spring!

...

on the old shed
doves make love~
Valentines Day

...

biscuits for breakfast
me and the doves like to share
watching the sunrise

Did you notice? The last haiku was zazen, a 5-7-5 just for kicks.

Obviously, I wish for a bird brain.

Sometimes I wish for the amygdala of a cat. Maybe my favorite predator. But I remember the smell of tiger sh*t. Like the Essence of ten thousand kitty litter boxes distilled down to one pungent fragrance. But They did not scare me that bear on the old Harley Davidson did. (circus boy remembers)

Fearless tiger brain
Amygdala of a cat
I sit in waiting rooms

The middle line don't work for me trying to force it cause I am in a hurry.

southern pacific horn blasts,
furnoace roars
sunshine and shadows

Geez How can I be late so early got to go sit in another waiting room.

k Jack...me and the birds can't keep you on track. Hah!
southern pacific horn blasts,
furnoace roars
sunshine and shadows

since you are off on another non-birdie theme here, I will follow the caboose...

on this one...good images, i love trains BTW...my granddaddy worked on the SP in the baggage car and i still have the wool quilt my grandma made out of his old suits to keep him warm in there on long, cold hauls...another TeXas story so I will keep it short here...

How about switching  the first and second lines?

i.e.

furnace roars
Southern Pacific horn blast (do you need the 's'?)
sunshine and shadows

does that work better?

from the train window
snowy egrets and cranes
ghosts

(at least i got a bird in edgewise. Hah!)

the second ku, I already saw and replied to...'amygdala' IMHO is a too big-ass word for haiku...I had to look it up so it loses its ku when the picture isn't immediate.

I like the word 'amygdala' and will try and work it into a conversation...Hah!

I like the word too, got a rock and roll sound I thought
I think it is the seat of fears.

I set here with a window behind me. I have changed my office around, feng shui I used to scoff at it but now I can see what a diffeence it makes

http://www.qi-whiz.com/

This morning was overcast, no sunshine and shadows to work with.

I like the olympics too. I like the idea of peaceful competition, i like the idea of the Olympian Peace. But how many died today in wars. but anyway

thanks for the help
I like the suggestions

no funace roaring, no sunshine and shadows, door open a lot of bird chatter

thinking about

Ice skating
so graceful
beauty is peace

sorry SooZe I got to go and I just realized I am confusing two different posts

ah the southern pacific is on time.
and there is the relection of an electric lamp on the monitor screen
and the whir of a computer

Feng shui, a good excuse to keep the toliet seat down.

I think every 'thing' in the universe has energy and that energy can be directed, a flow so to speak. If you clog up the flow you feel the drain. Hah!

Inca doves
dance of the ages
love in the afternoon

adventureland bazaar
i ran to a table and said "sorry, i just got dive bombed by a seagull" and grabbed some napkins and wiped the shit off my disneyshirt, it hit pluto dead between the eyes, last sunday afternoon.

i can see it right now. zoom! funny, it had no odour, but the consistency was icky.

Thanks kurt. Art intimidates me. I feel like an idiot. All I could say was Wow. I was torn between posting here or on Visuals. Trying to decide which I know less about. Haiku or Art

where the hell are you SooZen, are you pissed at me? I miss red headed haiku master. Only thing I can think of my post about Osho. I deleted the post because I figured it was something I clicked on by misttake, but one of those -Windows is instaling files pop ups appeard and something was installing and I was clueless to what it was. I have gone back and drawn cards again, pretty images, fine words, but I still think the art of Tarot is in the hands of a practioner. And human hands better than a computer.

hope all is well with you and yours
