morning mist
slowly rises
passes away

feels like a good day for fishing
my bones long for the solitude
of walking the trout stream

woke up with a headache
doesn't seem fair
the singing birds are oblivious

dream after chore dream
till out come paint and brushes
soul smile morning

night always turns
into day if you can hold out
nightmares vanish

inch back
prepare for change
not good not bad

the universe
exquisite randomness
like the change in your pocket

off with heavy load
air massage back and shoulders
isn't life wonderful!

overdid it yesterday in my zeal
to paint the world

nightbirds swish through branches
my home planet

piles up around me
sudden spring snow

trying to wake up
with old bones that don't want to
it's too damn cold

oh wait
it just went up a whole degree
now it's thirty three

no longer freezing
so I guess I have no excuse
time to take out the trash
