a walk through the stars
slide past the milky way
full night's guard duty

so a year and a half ago, i was lucky enough to witness the birth of my granddaughter. I got to see her every two weeks or so. heaven was on earth. Last year that precious unit moved to Australia along with her parents.
We visit via phone apps.

a little baby
each day adventures
surrounded by love

two squirrels
bushels of acorns
squabble for one

new slippers
because mister dog
ate the old

morning offerings
raspy breath of flu child
smoothie and spresso

a pile of ions
gather together
an artist is formed

one month till winter
darkness a tease
as she waves her wand
