hungry mouths
jewels shut up in the mountains

dreams zoom high-speed
limited REM time
promos for tonight

a drop of water
descent in slow-motion
reminder to breathe

christmas in baltimore
yesterday was only 4 degrees cooler
than the fourth of july

strange daze indeed mama
the evergreens dripping with sweat
instead of snow

crows sing winter
cackles of december
chill in the desert

crows take over
black, sleek, & shiny
barren concrete walls

work commandeers dreams
all together in service
new week strategy

deer waiting
to cross the road
not one instant
without real threat
of wrong decision
