I know I know
on the surface
it sounds silly
too simple
a naive anthem
in a complex world
but what if it were that simple a song
what if our sole purpose
was our soul purpose
to learn how to love...
this quest for unconditional empathy
from the doctor's spank
on the new rear end,
that little spark of baby tears
was to light a fire to burn
away the ego, what if life
on earth was an alien board game
played from the couches
in the infinite clouds, what if
life was a clever distraction
to mask the power of love

No need to retype it - just Edit, Copy, Paste (into Notepad or something), reSubmit, then post in Poetry. Once it's up, you can come back & delete the Haiku version.
