the clock is determined
bent on taking years like candy
from a hapless baby

slow down roadrunner
why this excelerating march
even god rests on sundays

guess I feel the rush
sometimes instead of the creeping
it's all in my head

not fretting anything
just taking notes and reporting
news from the frontline

I numb my swelling joints
quench my thirst and let my mind
go wherever it desires

I move like a ninja
come face to face with reality
its been a great ride

stop look and listen
to an old man reviewing
who makes little sense

shadows grow long
as does my list
of where to leave my ashes
