it's a cropped shot of a larger picture of eric holding the crab. there are ways to hold crabs without getting pinched. we were tidepooling and cal found him and got him out of that crevice, passing him along to eric. he was a feisty little crab and we liked him, we loved his “attitude.” when we were done, we put him back near his crevice and he scurried quickly back into the rock none the worse from his adventure with us.)
