Rocks in the head
all a jumble
the dreamscape a moon walk
I sit in one place and travel
holes to be filled
twisted wire sister
in African drumbeat
Indonesian chant
Karen Hill Tribe silverado

sometimes the wrists ache
no cooperation from body parts

when shaken, rattled
rocks in boxes
colorized versions of a passion play
rocks with stories to tell
drilled and tumbled
who held this stone before?
what can it be?
Be what it can

Transformation
alchemy with stone
let's face it girl
there are rocks in your head

tangled treasure
like something stolen

tumbled opals and agates
in twisted rows

My beaded mind

Full of holes

Fashions trinkets

That no one can wear

No one can hold

But me

I want!
I want!
I want!
I want!
My chant is not vain,
and I am no liar:
Need is always eclipsed by
Desire

come and see my wares
come and wear my wares
I would love to adorn you

all for a song...

A song

Is not too much to pay

For treasures

Such as these

I'll tell you what

To sweeten the deal

I'll sing you two

For three

Two for three

Two for three

Or five

For a rhyme

I'll take a song or two or three

a rhyme will do if just for me

to see you decked out

in all the glory

it will even make do

if you tell me a story.

Hah!
