life in a box
opened close
earringed dangles
i'm just hanging

it would be made of bright paper
but I have two lobes now on my left side
my crystal ripped out in a fight

if you could wear earrings
I'd make you one

I've been threatening to get
both sides of my poor split lobe pierced anew
so that I could rejoin them with a ring
