under the hand
of a lackluster leader

When a king takes over
in a free land
once democratic and tranquil

The downfall of a nation
will be its figure head
greedy and ignorant

He terrorizes
in the name of peace

War has begun

claim heaven is theirs
war for peace foretell
down with the mongers
up with the swell of
hearts and minds
and they can all go to hell

all the unlived lives
unborn children
unfulfilled dreams

all the poems, never written
songs, never sung

cut off

war is a tourniquet
on the throbbing artery
of our pulse

cutting off all supply
of hope

we march our sons and daughters
onwards in mind
and we cry our dirge
in every word we share

the shrill shreik of the sheik's wife
for revenge.
