blues, 1992

after the world had gotten too fast and too loud for him, he had sneaked into the frame. it felt good in there, and he could comfortably lean onto the note lines and feel their familiar vibrations humming through his body.

looking out was an occaisonal option he only seldomly made use of. the square and the lines gave such a great arena to the sound and that was all he needed.

he knew the landscape, took refuge in it,
from the edge of a clipped eighth-note,
he could savor the valley, hard soul river,
whiskey-soaked expanse of measures
It always started with quiet, such dead quiet,
until vibrations started to make inroads,
a rhythm from nowhere, suddenly angelic,
a vague sort of exhortation to play on....

dead finger tips--riffs--rips from the
crowds of people
shorwds of imigrant women
selling old wood strung with horse hair
and old papa played
while moma looked on like pillow talk..

letting go
the riff plays forth,
fingers glide,
guided by a willingness to stay out of the way;
climbing the blues to heaven

framed and sedated, fears allayed, the sound poured out in an overflow of calm.

I couldn't resist and I climbed into a chord.

one more time maestro
"my mammy done warned me"
worrisome things that leave me to sing the blues in the night
If I could not hear the music
I would be grave yard dead

this is my frame of reference at this point in time just where I came stumbling in.

going to wally world to buy a scanner. Kind of like a reverse pawn. Take it back in two weeks when the rent is due.

got a couple images to contribute

start with this one for no particular reason than jitterbug did it and sometimes it looks as if the figure is holding a guitar.. musical intrument

[note - the title said "#4 Story Jam – & # 8211; framed" and I thought that might have been an error because – didn't seem to mean anything and so I edited the title ... if I was wrong and the title was supposed to be as it was, please forgive me. I will change it back if you'd like. I've seen strange email titles and file name titles with weird numbers in them which the author never placed there. Sometimes something goes wrong electronically when saving files to the net. I don't mean to interfere... that is a beautiful piece of artwork... I wish I had something more to add to the story... I hope to do so later... sorry for the rambling.. just wanted to explain why the title changed.]

I am going to edit the picture out my reply. I was going with the flow I thought but I got sidetracked from the image by the music, the guitar player seemed so happy I had to hear some music, clay kindly obliged. then I got caught up in the st louis blues, then I don't know I started having a guilt trip about not beable to get my dam scanner to work after all these months, then I got really off on a tangent thinking about running out to wally world to buy a scanner on a lend lease kind of deal. and now am I here rambling farther afield, talk about strange numbers, help I am typing and I can't stop. my appology if I was/am hijacking post. beautiful start tor a string Picasso. thanks
