A Day in the Life of...

Post by bennie2 » May 30th, 2007, 3:45 pm

For this recipe you will need:
  • a camera (and a way to put the photos on the t'internet)
  • a pen (a pencil will be fine, or, if you really must, a crayon, but make it a darker colour such as purple, blue, dark green or black, if indeed you can find a black crayon, it's been so long since I've used them...)
  • a noepad (or a large portable surface area. laptops are fine. I suggest a mac. those are white and, therefore, easier to write on.)
  • and the final thing you need, is a day.
you go to bed, as normal (or not) and in the morning (or whenever you wake) you take a photo of the time and a photo of yourself. for extra audience fun this photo should be sans makeup, concrete and coffee.

there are other rules that I don't care to remember. one of them though... include several photos of the "time" throughout your day. be creative with where you get this time from (clocks, pc, um... I'm all out.)

basically, this is a "my day today" that includes photos and text. It's good to read about other people's days, even if you yourself think your day is boring.

I "know" a few of you from when i used to post here but this could be a fun, and creative way for us to learn a bit more about each other.

where does doreen work?
where does LR buy his beer?
does mtymynd have a zen garden?
etc.

if people want to do this... I don't know... doreen may have some stipulations re. picture sizes. (when i did it with a friend recently we included between 60 - 100 photos.)

I'm a blether when I type... ostensibly, this is an extensive as you like "my day today" with pictures. wanna pway?

this is a great idea, benny.
i like that the recipe is fairly simple. (white macs are, indeed, easier to write on).

i have a black pastel freshly ground into my floor, i could scrape it up and loan out grains to anyone in need of manual writing equipment.

unfortunately, i read this post-coffee, so this day is, therefore, ruled out. perhaps tomorrow morning if a day occurs, i can shoot myself before getting out of bed.

or, i could cheat and shoot myself throughout the day and then upon awaking tomorrow. (and glue the pieces together)

can't wait!

Well I too may just give it a go on a day when I'm feeling a little perpendicular to myself.

Though sharing a photo of oneself at first light of day when they've just arisen seems like something one should keep for only a select and chosen few. One doesn't, after all, want to overwhelm those who are not truly deserving of the honour and never earned the pleasure.

But yes, I believe I shall play. Though I shall for certain have to pick a day when I can hold my vanity at bay and reveal my true hideous nature. It don't come easy.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
