Pools of pondering

Post by mousey1 » April 16th, 2006, 1:06 pm

Image

A bit like life
you have to find the sparkly bits

you have to look for the sparkly bits
toe them
prod them
pick them up

at least notice them

they are there
little diamonds in the blackest sky

little dancers
in the murky stream

little lights
resting behind perfect eyes
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Yep 8)

I had to trip over a sparkly bit and fall flat on my face

But it was a lucky day I did

At last I have noticed that I am alive

I had to trip over a sparkly bit and fall flat on my face
brought me closer
and the shimmers dramatically shook their hips at me as I landed
The bluegreenteal bits kept beaconing
but in the end, it was the tiny blue heart
that opened me

diamonds floating in the ruff
precision cut each one a gem
stars aloft in a pool so clear
sharing their dreams
their beauty
with me

Code: Select all

sparkle sparkle little drips in my -- magic mirror
that devouring power of --
  tearing hearts
so enchanting
  that dancing by the waters
    little girls prancing
      glimpsing raindrops seem drawn --
to the pleasant dim of dawn
or that pleasant taste of tears
  spawned by those fears of
    fawns turning to deers
oh lovely you my magic mirror.
with flooding bays:
    engulfing little girls...
      sitting, watching reflections fade away...
relfelctions might be shadows or something else... I really can't say. I don't think I've ever written a poem without having a ton of alternate scentences and words. For this though it's what I got, and I hope it was what we were supposed to do....

it's in a code block because html and me disagree, I consider white-space signifigant

I notice my reflection on the surface of my eye
Like looking at a bubble
a shiny tenuous thing held together by a fragile tension.
