I have grown from a fertilized egg.
My roots were in my mother's womb,
entombed until her water broke and
when my head eased out to view
the sunlit room, and then my shoulders,
arms, legs, toes to take hold of the earth
to rise and walk, my birth was heralded
as unique as yours.
