Even for easter eggs growing on trees and bunny rabits to pick them.

I have grown from a fertilized egg.
My roots were in my mother's womb,
entombed until her water broke and
when my head eased out to view
the sunlit room, and then my shoulders,
arms, legs, toes to take hold of the earth
to rise and walk, my birth was heralded
as unique as yours.

my egg was never feritlized, my mother was never fucked, my birth was heralded with cries of despair, but i knew anything is possible in america and I could be president too, cause I was born in the promised land.
