Virginia Beach. August, 2005.
________
The ocean sings
a lullaby to hush tears.
A rush of wave saves
years of them for me.
Woosh! Woosh!
I weep the sea.
It sings for me.

Morro Rock in Morro Bay CAlifornia where the surf roared all night
And then a woman in black or maybe it was white
An island in a wine dark sea
Whispering murmuring sea

you are the breaker
you are the broken
you are hard as carbon steel
smoth as silk
cold as marble
diamond mind
fluid and chill as molten lava
What does woman want he cried out in his frustration
But to tell the truth he really did not care
As long as there was not too much starch in his shirts and dinner was always served on time.
