On the road to Gaza
heading west
Nir Oz at our back

Two men rush to find borders
in steady curiousity
flags wave from cannonsite

Muezzin rev up for prayer
along the wheatfield
silent wind blows

silent wind blows

My little shack on the main drag thru town down by the railroad tracks, down the street from the fire depart, the ambulance service, the cop shop, and sitting at the end of the main run way of an air force base that trains jet pilots. Plus they have these hangers where they test jet engines. All of the roar and none of the doppler. So I go out to the country once a week to maintain my maintain, The sound of the wind in my ears and if I am lucky it is coming off the gulf and I can catch the scent.

the wind under my wings in a glidder
The wind in the sails of my boat
The wind caresses me

facing west, the wind rides low
turning north, she challenges
she dries the sweat on my brow
she forces me to deal with life

blow, sister
sing with the hum of now
harmonize these footsteps

train rolling by, that rumble is like the heart beat of my mother

She tells me I got far to go
But do not despair she says

My life is in the wind
