Inanna, in all your majesty
let's trip this desert scene
empowering each dune with the steps of our ancestors

fertile woman
presents her breasts
as gifts; the majesty
of her hips beckon

let us enter her,
become her,
radiate as she

exude
fertility

breasts lead the way,
hips to follow
swaying in the warm hamseen air

90 degrees
looking for shady oasis
a cool brook to wash our feet

And we will follow her
to drink from her flow,
her mistress haven
our river, our sanctuary,
she, the goddess of earth
and we her worshipers.

Bow down to her grace.
She holds the faces of all
new generations in her
loins!

I knew her mother well
