If it's a bridge
I'll get stuck on it
Doesn't matter if it opens or not
I'll get stuck on it
Shouldn't complain
Scenery's far from plain

But if I had my way
These are the bridges
I would be stuck on

being among the crowd
is immediate, tactile and real;
allows touch and encounters, but
denies
the overview

standing up on the bridge
allows view and sight;
the lonely obeserver's place
denies contact, but permits
survey and realization
of the pattern

only s/he who
never changes position
gets stuck

Mostly a shiftless concrete sailer
But there have been a few momments of complete bliss.

Sober duck wheel house

Lorain

Stars

Compass

Four-hour shift

I have the wheel

Off shore rocks

Anchored boats

Off the west coast from Morro Bay to The line of British Columbia

No pics

Gone

Lefty and me

Living on the road my friend going to keep you free and clean

The progress of man
stuck in the muck

I used to have faith in Virginia
It is all local issues
We worry about the big one every four years
But the war is fought localy on mundane matters such as zoning

One man with a camera is a voice for many.

collateral damage of christian soldiers
Old andy was the bane of air port security scanners
That steel plate in his skull scared the bejeezus out of them

It has been a long time since that day we were sunk down in the mud to the axles. fifty tons of steel and truck, I work the transmission and try to rock it out of there. and Andy always willing to take it to the max, he throws his shoulder to the wheel as if he will push me out. I say, Andy take it easy the war is over lets call a toe truck.

I hope he is well
We are bleeding
these are our years of tears

I sail the bridges more than the sea
I can only hope one day I'll be free
Anchored steadfast in concrete
I remain content
for I have a shore to stand apon
and dream
