on the road - breakdown

Post by panta rhei » April 17th, 2006, 11:58 am

sometimes the drive is gone --
what is it? axle, shaft or mind?
gear or road or propulsion?

a forced stop --
we look. we ponder.

what is it we need?
boost or rest?

Well, they say if you look down in
look down in
long enough
hard enough
wishfully enough
wistfully enough
the answer will come

if not
you're just fucked
right enough

and that's when you have to start tinkering
tugging
twisting
whistling
scratching your head and bristling

and when the answer comes
for surely it will
fire it up
hop back in
and drive baby drive
just staying alive
don't ever lose that drive
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Sometimes you got to call a toe truck

The infernal combustion engine

I think the Incas were right

Sometimes I wish I could open the hood on my skull and check my timing chain
