hotlinks and beer

it took me a jillion years to learn this and of course it's useless here on studio eight b/c you can't post html. This is actually one of maybe three html codes I know offhand. You know how you see those lovely little highlighted words that, when clicked upon will send you to the site where you can find what the words promise? This is your template (again, it won't work on Studio Eight):
<a href="http://www.yoursite.com">your link phrase</a>
From the example, once it posted all you would see is "your link phrase" highlighted, usually in blue. It would become a clickable link that would take the web surfer to the site you placed in parenthesis (the "http://www.yoursite.com" shown above). You do not change the "<a href" or the "</a>" b/c that is the code that lets computers know you are performing a hotlink. Be sure to remember that you need a closing carat after the site you placed in parenthesis. Otherwise the link will not be active (it won't take the surfer to the site). I'll give one last example and then leave you to get hotlinkin':
*ex: I want to direct people to my homepage on myspace.com but I want the link to say "Check me out on myspace!" instead of just an ordinary site link. Here is how I would post it:
<a href="http://www.myspace.com/kaylafunky">Check me out on myspace!</a>
it should turn into a clickable link with only the words : "Check me out on myspace!"
Got it? Good. Hotlink away!
