Trainspotting

Scottish import from the depths of Edinburgh's hell itself, so raw, true and intense. I have seen those insanities before. I bore witness to the chaos of addiction. Watching a person break the fuk down, or off, and realizing they were lost... forever floating in that solid old palce, wherever the deads one do. Still breathing, still thinking. Just doing it away from life. Our heroin.... addict is Mark Renton a 20-something played by Ewan McGregor, who by far made it feel real. The seen where he plunges into the toilet for the pills, and he seems to dive all the way in, so symbolic. The treacherous bout, pigsweating on the sheets as he put himself out cold turkey locked inside a tiny room screaming "Stop it!" Passion. Such passion. I don't think the life of the addict could have been more theatrically portrayed. I enjoyed this one immensely. It's an indy film, and from Scotland, so u might not find it, (unless o course you're lucky enough to have IFC) but if you do come across it, I tell you, it is worth the watch!!
sometimes I just like to breathe.
