well we can assume that the academy isnt relevent, therefore this thread wouldnt be relevent so why the fuck would you want to post in an irrelevent thread?

unless is was just to be a dick.

anyway, the academy is largely irrelevent. but it's always fun to discuss films and queers and pissing and crashing.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

I think about queers the way I think about Jews. They make a nice bar of soap in a Nazi death camp. I don't suppose there would be half the music, art, poetry, films, and all the things that help me pass the time and avoid my pain with out them. At least that is the way it seems to be among creative people. I hate stereotyping but i do it all the time. . I just got the short story Brokeback Mountain in an anthology of the O'Henry prizewinners for 1998. Going to read it soon I hope. I would have liked to see that movie about the Christmas peace of 1914 win. I agree that the awards show is just an interesting topic of discussion and has nothing to do with film quality.
One more thing
there was another movie called Crash. I think it was about people who are sexually stimulated by car crashes. I suppose that was not the one up for the award.

yes yes yes there WAS another movie called crash. it was a damn chilling and freaky movie, people obsessed with car crashes. james spader, holly hunter. good film, made me feel very uneasy.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.
