Blue velvet

Post by Arcadia » May 6th, 2008, 2:31 pm

last friday a friend lent it to me Blue Velvet in exchange to Into the wild- My blueberry nights. I saw it with some friends last sunday... and I realized my tv didn´t have surround sound or something was not good with the sound. Have you ever tried to see a suspenso film with other people only listening to the dialogues or to the music and background sounds??? it´s really weird... So from being a thriller it became somehow a comedy...

Yes I do that a lot,
not as scary
weirdest music for a scary movie for me was The Exorcist. I Had a firend in maryland who used to play the album sound track from the movie while we were playing chess.

Strange chess games, intense.

I have never seen the movie, going to check out the trailer on IMDBdotcom

I mean, you have a lot of time to talk and do silly commentaries or speak up your hipotesis (even though I tried to reconnect the soundtrank beyond the dialogues in non-dialogue moments ... very artesanal... and more funnier  ). We talked about beers, eighties fashion, that the boy looked like a Dick Tracy comic, who the hell was Frank, did jokes about Van Gogh, invented proper songs for going upstairs, talked about cars, mistery, Casablanca, fetichists, misterious pills and managed a wrong idea about the girl´s father (well, we are in the XXI century...) among other things.

um, ... Blue Velvet is sort of a comedy.

So from being a thriller it became somehow a comedy...

David Lynch is the funniest sumbitch sinc Duchamps.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.
