what a great girlie flick. it was hillarious and very entertaining! this movie is packed with life, love, joy, dancing, beautiful scenery (!) and abba music. yes, it's a musical, usually not my favorite style of cinema, but i thoroughly enjoyed this one.
with meryl streep (awesome performance) and pierce brosnan (ouch! not a very good singer, but i give him brownie points for giving his all) and a few other good actors fitting their roles well.
it's a great mother daughter flick too...there'll be lots of bonding.

everybody loved it, except my daughter and i.
i mean, i liked it, it was visually spectacular and meryl streep and julie walters are my favourite females to watch on stage.
but i guess the fact that ABBA music doesn't do it for me factors in.
my daughter is even less in love with ABBA and the actors, so ...
but the other women were laughing, clapping throughout, even crying as Meryl walked the steps to the little chapel on the hilltop.
They were all in love with the movie. Afterwards we went to an upscale Diner in the swank modern building and i had a fabulous gazpacho. Together with the company the evening was indeed a fine event.
And of course, we all agreed that it was time to go to Greece, so that gives you an idea of the movie's impact.
Tell me what you thought.
