So, like, what's the difference between a fable, a parable, and an allegory?

As it occurs to me..
a Fable is a tale written to illustrate a moral featuring fantastical elements, such as talking animals or inanimate objects
a Parable is a tale written to illustrate some religious point
an Allegory is a tale in which the characters themselves represent abstracts, ideas, concepts
