This is an excellent collection of stories by Jhumpa Lahiri. They most often with interactions between Indian and American culture, but explore much wider themes as well.
Ms. Lahri has a very elegant prose and subtle prose style, and the consistent quality of these stories is something that I have not seen in the collections of many of my other favorite short-writers, Tobias Wolff and Joyce Carol Oates.
It is definitely worht checking out.
