BARAKA.

I know it's old at this stage but I just saw it for the first time recently and it blew me away. So much so that I went out and bought it on DVD. The DVD has some extra footage not included on the original video and also has behind the scenes footage and interviews with the crew.

I'm no fan of man and this film reaffirmed my misgivings with our species.

I also bought Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi which while maybe not as powerful as Baraka are still worth a look.

I never saw the movie Malcom, but I have over the latst forty years or so since his murder by black racists with the complicity of the J Edgar Hoover, well Malcom is ahero to me as much as St Martin the King,there was a woman on litkicks who admired Baraka a lot, I read some of his stuff and wondered why he never seemed to mention Malcom, I am sure he must have something to say about Malcom X somewhere I suppose I missed it. So I have my doubts about Baraka, how could you not honor a man like Malcom X
