I tried to remember films with the Pope & the Vatican as characters or places (principal or phantasmatic) and I only can remember "The Godfather" and Antonhy Quinn en "Las sandalias del pescador" ... tender film that makes you see & feel the cardenales gathering as a sort of especializado geriatric ... and Michel Piccoli, great!: "his face was a poem" as we use to say here. Loved the humorous-for moments naive-borderline-too human- sort of prophetic atmosphere Moretti created in this film
