I've owned this book for several years but never started reading it until now. I'm only 20 pages into or something like that and I'm absolutely fascinated! This will be a very special read for me, I can tell already.

"Women Who Run with the Wolves" - by CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTES

Have any of you read this? If so, what did you think of it?

In the intro, she mentions that she also writes poetry. Now I need to seek out the poetry because her language is so rich in the prose, I'm certain her poetry must be similarly imagery-rich... I'm going to find out.

I've heard of it briefly. It got medicre reviews... but hey, what the hell do my friends know? We read "Harry potter and the Chamber of Secrets" followed by "Eros the Bittersweet"... and maybe the screenplay for "A NightMare Before Christmas". LOL. Lemme know how it is D, and maybe I'll check it out too. I may go skim through at my local Borders after a .long day at the college. Word to Your Mother!!!

I bought the book as a birthday present for a friend that wanted to read it and I read it first (I use to do these things...). I don´t read all the book because it´s too long and the birthday-thing didn´t let me finish it. The author says that she is jungian and I really know very little about Jung, but I like the tales very much and some of the interpretations left me thinking. Maybe some day I will read it again and complete.
